Anyone have new 71mm dbb billet turbo results?

I've been searching around and finding lots of data on the new billet 67 but hardly anything on the 71mm. How does it spool compared to the previous 71dbb and power output? In the past I read the 71dbb was only about 200rpm laggier then a 67dbb. Im curious how this new billet one performs. Thanks!

I do not think they have made any serious revisions to the 71mm billet like they have with the 67's and 62's. If I am wrong someone correct me.

Thanks,
Bob

I think you are correct on that. I've read that the redesigned 71 wheel has been on the shelf for about a month now but haven't verified that.

Incorrect, the newly designed billet 71mm turbo is supposed to come out sometime in the beginning of 2010 from what i hear. The 71mm has always been a billet turbo, but that doesnt mean that the new version 71 will not be revised. I believe i read in another thread that the old billet 71 had a 7 blade comp. wheel and that the newest version 71 will have a 6 blade comp. wheel...dont know the advantages but i am also eagerly waiting on some info on the newest version. If some dude can hit 844 rwhp in a billet 6765 at 30 pounds, i cant even imagine what the 71mm might do if it turns out to be as good in design.

Also, does the 71dbb really hit full boost 200rpm's later than a 67dbb? I find that hard to believe but if it is true then this will change my plans for sure. I was going to go biller 6765, but maybe not if spool really is that good on a 71. I wonder if the billet 71 turbo will come in a twin scroll housing so i can utilize the SP Quick Spool Valve. Also, if it is possible, how much faster will it make the 71 spool.

Mayby larry can chime in here and remove all the question marks?

The new billet 71mm was released over a month ago, it is a 6 blade extended tip turbo. A few GN guys are already using it and making great power.

If you want to compare turbos, why not the 6768 .96 (I think it is) over the 6765 .81? It will be closer in size and power output to the 71.
