HAHAHA- finally got mine!! I took a friend of mine for a ride the other day while it was cold out. At ~50mph, I decided to stomp it.

As the rear came out sideways, he grabbed the HolyShitBar and screamed "What's wrong with your car!?"

I then proceeded to tell him there's nothing wrong with having an automatic afterall!

When I first got my car my g/f's brother came over to drink some beers one weekend and my g/f said are you not going to look at the car ( because all my buddies had been stopping by the entire week ) but he doesn't know much about cars. He goes ya sure. I take him to the garage and he nods his head says its sweet and we go back inside. My g/f goes what you didn't go for a ride. He's like I've been in fast cars before what's the big deal. My g/f says I don't think you understand...... I was like no it's cool I'll take him some other time. So me him and her go on a beer run a few weeks later we take the supra he is riding in the back seat with his feet up. So we are driving and this 350z pulls up next to me and starts reving. So I'm in 2nd gear and punch it from about 40 - 110. When I finally let off he just says wow I had no idea..... I mean she said it was fast..... but that's just...... wow it was so funny. He wouldn't shut up all night.

After I told him how much power the car makes he looks over at me like I am full of shit, smiles, and says again "not bad for a rice burner" !!!!

He then goes into this story of how his friend spent 36k on a SBC motor Blah Blah Blah. While he is talking I just shut the hood and went back inside. My wife and I laughed about it all day today. It still amazes me how clueless people are when it comes to our cars.

similar thing happened to me at wedding. my wife's friend's younger brother wanted to know about my car but proceeded to tell me about his 500HP mustang first. He spit out the numbers and waited for a reaction but I didn't really give him one, lol. So then he asked how much I put down and I said "772 rwhp on race gas and 840rwhp just messing around with spray" and he looked at me like I was full of sh1t, haha. He said I should race his friend's old trans am because it was a highway king too.

ive had all of those and possibly even 1 person saying all those in order. rofl

few weeks ago i gave my friend a ride home from another buddies and he was pissed drunk.

after i said "shit i think were speeding"
he said "my eyes went all wonky and i got headspins instantly, and i didnt have headspins at all yet tonight wtf" as he was peeling his head off the seat

one time i also gave my cousin from across the country a long cruise in it, and at one point during some twisties followed by a decent straight stretch he literally had his feet up on the dash and looked kinda like fetal position while holding onto the 'oh shit' handle and center console at the same time... it was sooo hilarious (he said many things that SoAngel quoted on that cruise... and many more)

i like the idea of not boosting at all, but theres no way i could do it and rip a person off like that

almost everytime i get a new person in there i hang out below like 4k rpm and dont let the car go out of vacuum on the boost guage, then i prolong it as long as possible then i wait for a good time to just floor it in 2nd gear when they arent expecting it. its so god damn hilarious. theres 100% chance they will say or do something absolutely priceless.
its even funnier when the car is in TTC mode and i do that, hp suddenly doubles.
thankfully no one has broken their neck yet or gotten whiplash.

Usually I will take people out and not even let the car boost, just to have them thinking " thats all the power this car has" then I mash it and watch them scramble to grab anything they can as their eyes bug out lol. this is usually followed by " holy shit I never knew these cars are that fast"

This just recently happened and I thought I would share the experience.

Well, just had my car painted and stopped by the painters shop to drop off a few pieces that needed to be re-shot. As I was there an owner of one the other shops comes to my car to admire it. We spoke a little and I could tell from the conversation this gentleman wanted a ride, so I obliged.

Now since my car had been sitting for a while I dialed down the boost to 12lbs and at that boost level I am around 460rwhp, give or take a few horses, so in no way was I in kill mode.

Now this shop owner started going on with the fact that his partner has a 6.0litre GTO with some mods and is fairly quick. He then started to tell me that his buddy has a Porsche Turbo rated at 650 horses and that was the fastest car he's ever been in. I listen intently to his conversation and let him know that my car is dialed down and it won't be anything to his buddies Porsche, he says it's ok and still wants the ride.

Well I give the guy a ride and me being conservative driver, I stop my pulls before I hit triple digits. I guess it was enough because I left the guy practically speechless and the one the thing I remember when I left was that he said, "Damn your car is a beast and I think my buddies full of shit about his Porsche because yours is definitely faster!" He walks away to his partner to tell him the story of the ride and then his partner walks up to me and asks "is it a six cylinder?", I say, yes an inline six and left the conversation with that.

I finally left the shop smiling, and thinking to myself, oh what a feeling. . . TOYOTA!
