Nobody will get their Headlights back from BRANIGAN (IM CONVO)

Well after getting blown off for over a month I decided to dipute the $500 I sent Branigan for his headlights... I guess PAYPAL pulled the money from his account and now "Because of me nobody will get their headlghts back." Here is the convo:

yeah when an investigation happens it takes the money out of the persons paypal but does not give it back to the seller until the investigation is complete, this way the person does not use the money and cancel the paypal account before the investigation is complete

There are many posts about this and it seems that nothing is getting done. I think you did the right thing Adam I would be pissed too. I think its sad that people can't drive their cars cause someone is giving them a run around excuse everyday. Don't know what kind of headlights you have but if they are the 97-98's the 500 dollars won't even get you a new set. Good luck Adam.

Thats a good way to put it, since there is a thread in every section almost... Eric got lucky but as you can see there are at least 4-5 people that are being screwed by this retard. I think he is coming on here as Destin now which is supposed to be his girls name but he is using it. I hope all of you are back up and running again soon.

There is a death in the family, I'm missing work doing the headlights and I nearly got fired, My family is in the hospital, you headlights shipped Thursday (yet I never get a tracking #) Oh and then today I'm told my headlights and 3 other sets are all ready to ship... i don't think bran is a scammer... i do believe he got a little crazy over the holidays and accepted too many lights... fell behind and well you're all waiting for your lights now.

that he tells people he's shipping out the lights on a particular day and doesn't do it isn't right, he shouldn't make promises he doesn't intend to keep, because it causes people to feel uncomfortable and insecure about the whole deal...

adam i undestand that you need to sell the car and need lights for it, but

#1. PayPal isn't giving you the $ instantly.
#2. $500 won't get you 98 lights.

IMO you're going about it the wrong way. If you REALLY need to sell the car, take the hit personally and buy new lights. The profit from the sale of the car will offset the cost of the lights. THEN you can wait a little longer for the lights... OR sell them to Bran... OR dispute with PayPal if all else fails.

People are getting their lights slowly but surely. He did mention how long it took to do just one light... Shit I opened both my lights up, simply to polish/wax them and sealed them back up and it took me the better part of one day.

Those of you who've never done this will never understand how long it actually takes.

I know I wont get anything instantly... but when someone blocks you on IM, then blocks your phone #, then ignores email after email and IM after IM there comes a point where a dispute is the only alternative... Branigan went nearly 3 weeks without responding to me personally, then I get an email from him telling me he's blocking my phone number. So on Sunday I set up the dispute with paypal.. Yesterday Destin promised some of us our headlights would ship soon, this was after I had already set up the dispute..


If its ok with Branigan and FYRARMS (or someone else who we both can trust) this is what I can do:


If Branigan gets my headlights out I will cancel the dispute the day they arrive. I even offered to repay the shipping costs by paying for shipping again.

I tell you what Branigan, if its ok with FYRARMS (I know where he works ) I'll paypal him $500 to hold, if I get my headlights back and then fail to cancel the dispute with PAYPAL (allowing the $500.00 to be redeposited into your account) you can have FYRARMS send you the cash, this way you don't have to worry about "getting ripped off".

Upon recieving the headlights I will immediatly cancel the dispute, then I'll either buy $500 worth of shit from Elmhurst or I'll just have him PAYPAL me back.. How about it??

IMO, his promises are the same run around scheme that every part seller or body shop person uses to try to get time and to place blame elsewhere and to calm the buyer.

He should have just said, "This is my service. This is what I am charging, and the turn around time will vary from weeks to months. Buyer takes that chance." But, as a begining entrepuner, he couldn't predict falling behind or messing up on some headlights and now he is clamming up.

Ugh, this sucks guys. I went through very similar issues with him when he had mine, all for mine to fog up the second I washed them the first time. It is very frustrating, but to be honest, losing your temper doesnt get anywhere with him. Try to talk to him civilly (sp?), and go from there. Bran, if youre reading, please send me that picture...
